Penn Affiliates go behind the scenes at Portman Road

It was a pleasure for Penn’s Vanessa Penn, Rachael Jackson and Shaun Collins to host our Affiliate Partners - Andrew Nicholson of Barker Gotelee Solicitors, Chris Woodward of Brown & Brown, Richard Grainger of Clear Idea Finance, Philip Branton of Wincer Kievenaar Architects Limited, Mark Pertwee of Pertwee Estates Ltd, Ollie Brook of Guymer King Ltd, Daniel Elliston of Elliston Steady & Hawes (Building) Ltd, Mark Antczak of Fusion Sign Systems and Ian Davidson of Currys Business - on a two-hour private tour of Ipswich Town FC’s historic Portman Road Stadium on 22nd April 2026.

Our superb guides Stephen and Amy were full of fun facts and Town insights, as they escorted us to areas that you don’t normally get to see or experience in the grounds, including the Three Lions Lounge, the Chairman’s Suite, the Partners’ Lounge, the Directors’ seats, the Media Centre, the Home and Away changing rooms, the Manager’s Office, and the players’ tunnel.

Penn Commercial’s Rachael Jackson said:

“We always like to choose a locally-themed activity for our Penn Affiliate events, and where better than Ipswich Town Football Club, which we have long supported and lies at the heart of our hometown…and is one of the most prominent pieces of commercial real estate in Ipswich!

“It is not every day that you get an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of your lifelong football club, and the group were all thrilled to get be able to sit in the Directors’ seats overlooking the pitch, and get behind the desk of the newly-refurbished Media Centre. Thanks to all at ITFC for giving us such an excellent, exhilarating experience…and our positive thoughts might just have contributed to the Town’s 2-1 win against Charlton away that evening!"
