It’s not every day that you get the pleasure and privilege to join business leaders from across Suffolk's at one of the county's leading hospitality venues! Penn Commercial was pleased to attend Larking Gowen's ‘The Summer Business Leaders Lunch 2026’ at the Marquis Suffolk Hotel in Layham on 11th June 2026, where guest speaker Erika Clegg encouraged us to consider our corporate values and how we live up to them within our own organisations.
Erika, author of 'Junk Values' - shortlisted for the 'Business Book Awards 2026' - explained that values, when properly understood and applied, are not statements but assets, and need to be a real and lived experience within our corporate culture, not just empty words on a page.

The event also raised valuable funds for Help2Ukraine (Suffolk) Ambulances for Ukraine 2026, which Erika and her colleagues set up in 2024 to acquire ex-NHS ambulances, kit them out with medical equipment and crew, and drive them out to Ukraine to assist in the war effort.
